Congrats to the 2012 Springfield Jr. Thunderbirds for taking home the championship at the 2022 PICS Fall Classic!

The 2012 Springfield Jr. Thunderbirds had a three-game shutout streak riding into the championship game on Sunday. Leading into the championship game, The Thunderbirds outscored their opponents 22 to 0! They were impressive all tournament putting the puck in the back of the net with a total of 29 goals.  

In the championship game, the team hard fought against a very talented PAL Islanders team coming out on top 7-5. The 2012 Jr. Thunderbirds are currently 15-4-1 in Elite 9 league play. They will resume regular season play Saturday, December 10th when they take on the Valley Jr. Warriors 12 Elite’s and then a quick turn around to play the undefeated Worcester Jr. Railers 12 Elite’s. Both games look to be games to watch as they are the top three teams in the 2012 standings.
