Congratulations to the 2014 Boston Advantage on winning the Just Get Good Hockey Kickoff Classic in Rochester, NY.

The 2014 Advantage started out the tournament with a 10-4 win over the Battery Hockey Academy. The Advantage continued to bring the heat with a 6-0 shutout against the Valley Forge Minutemen and then another shutout 6-0 win against the Oakland Grizzles. The last pool play game they faced off against the Buffalo Jr. Sabres and pulled out a 9-3 win. They would then take on the Sabres once again in the semi-finals and once again they were victorious with a 2-1 win. This win clinched a spot in the championship game where they would face the Islanders HC. Five second-period goals catapulted the Advantage to an 8-6 win and the championship.

In the tournament, The 2014’s outscored their opponents 41-14 with two shutout games against the Valley Forge Minuteman and Oakland Grizzles.

The 2014 Boston Advantage are the reigning Elite 9 champions and will have a tough test this season as they play up in the 2013 division. They will kick off their E9 season on Saturday, September 16^th at 10:40 AM against the 2013 Seacoast Spartans.
