The Elite 9 is proud to celebrate the success of over 30 alumni currently playing professional hockey in the NHL and AHL.
Among them are standout players such as Matty Beniers, Chris Kreider, Ryan Leonard, and Michael Kesselring.
Matty Beniers, a Hingham, MA native, developed his skills with Lovell Hockey before making his mark in the NHL. Now entering his fifth season, he serves as an Alternate Captain for the Seattle Kraken and continues to be a key contributor for the team.
Chris Kreider, a Valley Jr. Warriors alumnus, is currently in his 14th NHL season. One of the league’s top power forwards, Kreider recently surpassed Adam Graves to become the third all-time leading goal scorer for the New York Rangers. He also reached a major milestone last year with 500 career points.
Ryan Leonard, a rising star and Springfield Jr. Thunderbirds alum, was selected 8th overall by the Washington Capitals in the 2023 NHL Draft. In just two seasons at Boston College, Leonard has tallied an impressive 61 goals and 48 assists in 78 games, totaling 109 points.
Another promising young talent is Michael Kesselring, a New Hampshire Avalanche alumnus. Known for his steady play on the blue line, Kesselring is establishing himself as a dependable defenseman with the Buffalo Sabres.
